As you may already know, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) published a final rule revising the African elephant rule under section 4(d) of the ESA [50 CFR 17.40 (e)] on June 6, 2016. It is effective July 6, 2016, 30 days following publication of the rule.
The rule appears to prohibit the interstate sale of knives with ivory handles and also restrict intrastate (within the state) sales.
I have collected a few knives over the years that have ivory handles. I am making them available on a website I use to change or diversify my collection. I will remove those knives before July 6 in order to comply with the new rule.
